The IDF hit external targets tied to Palestinian-linked activity and killed senior figures involved in terror activity from Gaza and the West Bank hiding in Tehran during overnight operations, the military announced on Tuesday

The announcement followed a General Staff assessment led by IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir, who said the strikes are part of an ongoing campaign against Iran and its regional proxies, including Hezbollah.

Simultaneously, senior Iranian official Ali Larijani was targeted in an Israeli strike on Monday night; his fate is still unknown, sources told The Jerusalem Post.

Larijani was last spotted in public participating in Quds Day events in Tehran.

Additionally, on Friday, an Israel Air Force strike "dismantled" the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy (IRGC-N) headquarters in Tehran, the military confirmed on Monday.

The headquarters was located in a large regime compound and had been used by several senior naval commanders to manage maritime terrorist activities against Israel and other Middle Eastern countries over recent years, the IDF stated.

IRGC-N is "directly responsible for carrying out terror attacks against civilian vessels, and is responsible for arming and financing the regime's proxy terror organizations by transferring weapons by sea," the military said.

The strike "further degrades IRGC-N's command and control capabilities, while impairing its ability to execute terrorist activities against the State of Israel, threaten international trade routes, and limit maritime freedom of navigation," the IDF wrote.

IDF strikes Iranian missile and command sites in Tehran, Shiraz, and Tabriz

Later, on Tuesday morning, the IDF announced that it carried out airstrikes on Iranian missile production sites and command centers in Tehran, Shiraz, and Tabriz on Monday.

Dozens of Israel Air Force fighter jets, acting on IDF intelligence, struck infrastructure in the three cities.

In Tehran, the strikes targeted command centers of Iranian security bodies, including the Ministry of Intelligence and the Basij, as well as sites used to store and launch drones, ballistic missiles, and air defense systems.

In Shiraz, the IDF said it struck the internal security forces’ command center and a ballistic missile site.

In Tabriz, additional Iranian air defense systems were dismantled, the IDF said, “further expanding aerial superiority in the region and protecting the State of Israel.”

The IDF said the strikes are part of ongoing efforts to damage Iranian core systems and reduce its ability to threaten Israel.
