Iran’s foreign ministry spokesperson said on Monday that the country would no longer abide by the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed with the US in June if Washington continued to violate its commitments to end the war.
"Each time that the other party has failed to meet its obligations, we did not uphold ours... we will continue to act in this manner," Esmaeil Baghaei told a press conference in Tehran.
He said that Iran has "acted in good faith and seriousness in fulfilling its commitments" during the negotiation of the deal and "has never been the first to violate its commitments."
Baghaei added that US pressure on Oman has hindered efforts to agree on a joint mechanism between Iran and Oman for the Strait of Hormuz.
