Iranian politician calls Trump tactics psychological warfare against Tehran

Hassan Rasouli, a member of Iran’s Reformists’ Supreme Council for Policymaking, described efforts by US President Donald Trump to create divisions among Iranian officials as “psychological warfare”, according to an interview with Iran’s state news agency Islamic Republic News Agency.

Rasouli said US and Israeli efforts were aimed at “instilling division and discord in the ranks of officials” in an attempt “to achieve victory without firing a single bullet”.

He added that Tehran had instead presented “a coherent, united, and ready-to-defend image of Iran to the world”, arguing that “the aggressors have not been able to achieve any of their predetermined goals.”
