A young Palestinian man was killed by Israeli forces late on Tuesday near the village of Tayasir, east of Tubas in the occupied West Bank, Wafa reported, citing Palestinian officials.
The Palestinian health ministry identified the man as Alaa Khaled Muhammad Subaih, 28, saying he was shot by Israeli gunfire near Tayasir, adding that his body was withheld.
Local sources said that residents confronted an attack by Israeli settlers near the village of Tayasir, after which Israeli forces stormed the area and opened fire, killing Subaih.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said it received a report of a wounded man in Tayasir but that Israeli forces prevented its medical teams from reaching the scene.
It added that its staff were detained, and their mobile phones and identification cards were confiscated, while they were also barred from retrieving the body.
