Two officers from Israel’s Border Police shot and killed a suspect overnight in the southern Bedouin city of Rahat, police said.
According to authorities, officers attempted to stop and investigate a vehicle, but the driver refused to halt and tried to flee.
Police said the suspect later abandoned the vehicle and attempted to escape on foot. Officers fired warning shots into the air before catching up with him.
During the arrest, the suspect allegedly resisted, prompting police to open fire. Authorities said the incident is under investigation.
