Japan’s Vice Minister of Economy, Trade, and Industry Kenji Yamada and Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Ayano Kunimitsu are on a visit to Kyiv.
This was reported by the Japanese Embassy in Ukraine on the social media platform X, according to Ukrinform.
“Today, Deputy Minister of Economy, Trade, and Industry Yamada and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Kunimitsu are visiting Kyiv. They laid flowers at the Wall of Remembrance near St. Michael’s Monastery and will express Japan’s strong support for Ukraine during their meetings,” the Japanese diplomatic mission stated.
As previously reported, on May 29, Japan allocated 14,658,000 U.S. dollars (approximately 2.2 billion yen) to support NATO’s “Priority Needs List for Ukraine” (PURL) initiative.
