Israeli media reported extensive interception operations against Iranian missiles over southern Israel, including the Dead Sea, Dimona and Beersheba areas.
Channel 12 said civil defence and emergency crews were dispatched to several locations after reports of rocket and shrapnel debris falling near Beit Shemesh, west of Jerusalem, and in the Negev region around Beersheba.
Israeli Army Radio reported that the country's Security Cabinet was expected to meet on Tuesday morning to discuss the latest security developments.
The broadcaster also reported that a rocket fell near the Itamar settlement in the northern occupied West Bank, with no damage or injuries immediately reported.
