Russian forces struck Kyiv overnight on May 14 with a combined drone and missile attack.
One person was killed and 31 were injured, according to the State Emergency Service. Part of a nine-story residential building collapsed in the Darnytskyi district, destroying 18 apartments, Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko said. A rescue operation is ongoing at the site.
Debris from rockets and drones fell across the Obolonskyi, Darnytskyi, Holosiivskyi, and Sviatoshynskyi districts. The attack also disrupted water supply on Kyiv’s left bank, Klitschko said.
Seven people were injured in Kyiv Region, the State Emergency Service reported. Damage and fires were recorded in the Obukhiv, Brovary, Fastiv, Boryspil, and Bila Tserkva districts, with private homes, apartments, outbuildings, and vehicles among the structures hit.
Drones also struck Odesa Region, hitting port infrastructure, the head of the Odesa regional administration, Oleh Kiper, said. Two people were injured there.
Ukraine’s Air Force reported that Russian forces launched 675 drones and 56 missiles at Ukraine overnight. Air defense units shot down or suppressed 41 missiles and 652 drones.
