Russian attack on high-rise building in Kharkiv: five injured, including two children
Russian forces carried out a drone strike on Kharkiv's Industrialnyi district on the evening of 9 May, during the so-called truce, hitting a nine-storey residential building. Five people were injured, including two eight-year-old boys.

Russian forces carried out a drone strike on Kharkiv's Industrialnyi district on the evening of 9 May, during the so-called truce, hitting a nine-storey residential building. Five people were injured, including two eight-year-old boys.

Details: Syniehubov reported that the Russians struck Kharkiv's Industrialnyi district with a UAV. A hit was recorded on a nine-storey residential building.
He later said that an eight-year-old boy was suffering from shock as a result of the strike, and medics were providing the child with the necessary assistance.
Syniehubov specified that the Russian drone had hit a plant room in the residential building. Emergency services are currently dealing with the aftermath of the attack.
Meanwhile, Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov said that the strike on the plant room had damaged the lift shaft and shattered around 30 windows. Inspections of the building are ongoing.
Later, the number of those who sustained injuries in the attack rose to three. Doctors diagnosed all of them as suffering from shock.
At 23:18, Syniehubov reported that another eight-year-old boy was suffering from shock as a result of the Russian strike on Kharkiv's Industrialnyi district, bringing the number of injured to four.
This number later increased to five.
Background:
On 8 May, US President Donald Trump announced a three-day ceasefire in the war between Ukraine and Russia.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said a 1,000-for-1,000 prisoner swap would take place on 9 May and confirmed the US president's announcement regarding a ceasefire with Russia on 9-11 May.
Ukraine officially granted Russia permission to hold its Victory Day parade as part of the ceasefire arrangements.
Since the start of the day on 9 May, when the so-called ceasefire in the war with Russia was supposed to be in effect, as of 22:00 there had been 121 combat engagements on the front line.
