Russian strike hits critical infrastructure facilities and residential areas in Izmail, leaving people injured – photos

Russian forces launched strikes on critical and residential infrastructure facilities in the Izmail district in Odesa Oblast on the night of 15-16 May, leaving two people injured.

Details: The administration said that critical infrastructure facilities and residential buildings in Izmail had come under attack.

Details: Damage to power lines left 39 settlements in the Izmail district without electricity. A total of 22,662 consumers remain without power.

Update: Kiper updated information on the aftermath of the Russian attack on Odesa Oblast.

Quote: "The enemy conducted a large-scale drone attack on the south of Odesa Oblast last night. Residential and port infrastructure were affected. Sadly, people have been injured."

Details: Kiper said UAVs had struck a five-storey residential building. The facade and windows were damaged, balconies caught fire and a car showroom on the ground floor was also set ablaze.

In addition, a single-storey residential building was damaged, with two people injured there.

Quote: "Port infrastructure – a warehouse and an office building – was also damaged in the attack. Windows were shattered at these facilities.

In addition, debris fell onto the territory of an educational institution."
