New power outages have been recorded in six oblasts of Ukraine following another massive Russian missile and drone attack.

New power outages have been recorded in six oblasts of Ukraine following another massive Russian missile and drone attack.

Details: The affected oblasts are Kyiv, Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhzhia. The Russian strikes targeted, among other places, civilian energy infrastructure facilities.
Emergency repair work has begun where security conditions allow. Energy workers are doing everything they can to bring power back to all affected consumers as quickly as possible.
Ukrenergo warned that the situation in the energy system may change and called on consumers to monitor updates from regional power distribution companies.
Background: On the night of 5-6 July, Russia launched a large-scale combined strike on Ukraine using attack drones as well as air-, land- and sea-launched missiles of various types. Ukrainian air defences downed 363 out of 419 aerial assets, while 29 ballistic missiles and 18 attack drones struck 34 locations.
