A resident of the southern Bedouin city of Rahat was arrested on suspicion of inciting terror and supporting Hamas, Israel Police and the Shin Bet security agency said in a joint statement.
The agencies arrested the suspect, Badr bin Yussef Hasanat, 24, in a joint operation after investigating him for allegedly sharing pro-Hamas content on social media, as well as messages praising, supporting and inciting acts of terrorism, the agencies said.
The State Prosecutor's Office said it had pressed charges against Hasanat, citing one instance in which the suspect had allegedly posted a photo of assassinated Hamas leaders set to a song with the lyrics: "They are heroes who left this world but did not surrender or suffer humiliation; they sold their souls to Allah, and death was not difficult for them."

In a statement, Hamas's Interior Ministry said that Lt. Col. Wissam Fayez Abd al-Hadi, head of criminal investigations for the Khan Younis police, and Sgt. Fadi Abd al-Moati Heikal, were killed in an Israeli strike on their vehicle in the al-Amal neighbourhood, western Khan Yunis.

Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara said on Sunday that the appointment of Roman Gofman to head the Mossad intelligence agency must be canceled due to "substantial flaws" in the nomination process.
In her response to the High Court of Justice, which is hearing petitions against Gofman's appointment, the attorney general said that Gofman's involvement in the leaking of classified information to a minor as part of an intelligence operation "casts a heavy shadow on Gofman's integrity and thus on his appointment to head the Mossad."
A bulk carrier in the Gulf was reportedly hit by an "unknown projectile," the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations center said.
UKMTO said it received a report of the incident 23 nautical miles northeast of Doha, Qatar, that caused a "small fire." The center said the fire was extinguished, there are no casualties and there is no reported environmental damage.

Israel deported Saif Abu Keshek, a Spanish national, and Brazilian Thiago Ávila on Sunday after completing an investigation into their participation in a Gaza-bound flotilla, the foreign ministry said.
After their investigation was completed, the two professional provocateurs, Saif Abu Keshek and Thiago Ávila, from the provocation flotilla, were deported today from Israel. Israel will not allow any breach of the lawful naval blockade on Gaza.
Israel's foreign ministry said Abu Keshek was suspected of affiliation with a terrorist organisation and Avila was suspected of illegal activity. Both denied the allegations.
