This post has been identified with the sailor who died on Saturday. One sailor is dead and a second sailor is in pre-trial confinement after an early morning Saturday shooting aboard carrier John F. Kennedy (CVN-79), USNI News has learned. Boatswain’s Mate Seaman Jesse Braswell of Colorado was killed in the shooting, which happened around 5:15 a.m. on Saturday, a Navy spokesperson told USNI News. “Our deepest condolences are with [Seaman] Braswell’s family, friends and shipmates.
