Around 43 million people attended Iran’s slain Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei's nearly week-long funeral , Iranian state media reported.
The funeral procession took place across five cities in Iraq and Iran, including Tehran, Qom, Najaf, Karbala and Mashhad - where he was buried.
“We’ve proved that we stand with the US. I’m not sure it will be of interest to the US that Israel will join on this - but, you know, we realize that we need to stretch our muscles,” a source said.
Fire and rescue crews launched a large-scale operation after reports that people were trapped in a residential building in Tayibe.
