Overnight and in the morning, the enemy army attacked Zaporizhzhia with strike drones. Two people are reported dead and seven wounded.
The Zaporizhzhia Regional Prosecutor’s Office reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
“Throughout the night and morning of June 22, 2026, the Russians struck civilian infrastructure in Zaporizhzhia using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). As a result of the enemy shelling, two women, aged 39 and 53, were killed. Another seven people were injured, including an 11-year-old boy,” the statement reads.
Information regarding the victims is being verified.
As a result of the attacks, private residential homes, high-rise buildings, warehouses, non-residential buildings, and farm structures were partially destroyed and damaged.

Under the procedural guidance of prosecutors from the Zaporizhzhia Regional Prosecutor’s Office, an investigation has been launched into the commission of a war crime resulting in loss of life (Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
Earlier it was reported that in the morning, the enemy struck a residential area of the city. A fire broke out. A woman was unable to escape from the burning building.
