In the temporarily occupied Crimea, a fire was reported at the Zaliv Shipyard in Kerch following explosions.
According to Ukrinform, the monitoring group of the Crimean Wind Telegram channel reported this.
“Two fire outbreaks have been detected in the shipyard’s waters. This could be either hits on ships or a shift in thermal signatures,” the report states.
According to channel subscribers, explosions and shooting were heard in Kerch overnight, and the city smelled of burning.
Since 2020, two Project 23900 universal landing ships (UDK)—the Ivan Rogov and the Mitrofan Moskalenko (shipyard numbers 01901 and 01902)—have been under construction at the Zaliv Shipyard in Kerch.
As reported by Ukrinform, the Operational Command “South” noted that facilities such as the Zaliv Shipyard in Kerch, in the temporarily occupied Crimea, are legitimate military targets for Ukraine.
