Last week, Channel 14 television gave its viewers an instructive lesson in political psychopathology. In a video that grossly violates the campaign advertising rules, the channel sought to show the nightmare scenario that would follow if the opposition returns to power. The result is a fascinating example of projection – the mechanism by which a person projects his deepest urges, crimes and fears onto others.
