Background: The affected oblasts are Sumy, Kharkiv, Chernihiv, Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhzhia. Emergency repair works are being carried out where security conditions allow.

Electricity consumption has decreased due to the forced implementation of restriction measures. As of 09:30 today, its level was 7.9% lower than at the same time on Thursday.

"Given the weather conditions, the need for energy saving remains throughout the entire day.

Please limit the use of high-power electrical appliances as much as possible during the evening peak consumption period – from 18:00 to 22:00," the statement said.

Background: On 3 April, power limitation schedules for industry will be in effect in all regions of Ukraine from 06:00 to 22:00, while hourly outage schedules for all categories of consumers will apply from 07:00 to 11:00.
