Russia launches three missiles and 108 drones, Ukrainian air defence intercepts 89 UAVs
Ukraine’s air defences intercepted 89 out of 108 Russian drones, but several missiles and UAVs reached their targets.

Russian forces have attacked Ukraine with two Iskander-M ballistic missiles, one Kh-31 guided air-launched missile and 108 drones of various types since the evening of 5 May. Ukrainian air defences have downed 89 UAVs, but hits have been recorded.

Quote: "As of 08:00, [Ukrainian] air defence forces had destroyed or jammed 89 drones in the country's north and east. Hits by two ballistic missiles, one guided air-launched missile and nine UAVs had been recorded at eight locations and the fall of downed aerial assets (debris) at one location."
Details: Aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare assets, unmanned systems units and mobile fire groups from Ukraine's defence forces have been involved in repelling the attack.
As of 08:00 on 6 May, the attack is ongoing, as several Russian drones are still in Ukrainian airspace.
Background:
On 4 May, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the introduction of a ceasefire set to begin at 00:00 on 6 May.
