Russian drone attacks on the eastern Ukrainian city of Kharkiv killed two people and injured seven others on Wednesday, local authorities said.
The strike hit the Shevchenkivsky district, setting a civilian enterprise ablaze, according to Oleg Synegubov, governor of Kharkiv region. Three women and four men were hospitalized following the attack.

Kharkiv, Ukraine’s second-largest city located near the Russian border, was surrounded at the start of Russia’s invasion in 2022 and has faced near-daily attacks since Russian forces were pushed back later that year.
Meanwhile, US efforts to broker a peace deal between Kyiv and Moscow have stalled, with a planned third round of talks delayed amid the escalating conflict in the Middle East.
