Over the past 24 hours, Russian troops have shelled the Sumy region more than 60 times—one man was killed and 14 others were injured as a result of the attacks.
This was reported by the Sumy Regional Military Administration on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
A 66-year-old man was killed in a drone attack in the Verkhnia Syrovatka community. Two men, aged 35 and 39, were injured in the Sumy community, a 53-year-old woman was injured in the Kyrykivska community, and five more people were injured in the Trostyanetska community. In addition, six residents of the Sumy, Mykolaiv settlement, Kyrykivka, Trostyanets, and Okhtyrka communities experienced acute stress reactions.
In total, from the morning of June 26 to the morning of June 27, Russian troops carried out more than 60 attacks on 26 settlements in 20 territorial communities of the region, using mortars, artillery, FPV drones, unmanned aerial vehicles, and guided aerial bombs.
As a result of the shelling, private homes, apartment buildings, farm buildings, administrative and non-residential premises, vehicles, civilian infrastructure, and a church were damaged or destroyed.
Over the past day, 34 people were evacuated from border communities in the Sumy region.
As reported by Ukrinform, Russian troops launched a massive drone attack on the Okhtyrka district of the Sumy region, injuring ten people.
