A fire broke out in central Israel after shrapnel from an Iranian missile hit central Israel on Thursday night, following a launch that triggered sirens throughout the country.

A wave of Iranian missiles launched on Friday morning after almost 12 hours of silence resulted in no injuries, Magen David Adom stated.

Following the sirens, two missile fragments were reported to have fallen in open spaces in central Israel.

Eyewitness reports claimed that Iran used cluster munitions, although this was not confirmed by any official governmental or military source.

Several firefighting crews responded to the fire and determined that it was a warehouse that had been hit by a missile fragment and immediately went up in flames.

Firefighters worked to stop the fire from spreading to nearby buildings and extinguish the source.

Child sustains minor injuries, three people treated for acute trauma 

United Hatzalah reported that a 10-year-old boy sustained minor injuries as a result of the shrapnel hit. He received first aid treatment at the scene and was then taken to a nearby hospital. Responders also treated three people suffering from post-traumatic symptoms. 

Sirens triggered in northern Israeli town

In the early hours of Friday morning, sirens were heard several times in several towns in northern Israel near the Lebanon border. No property damage or injuries were reported. 

Additionally, residents of the northern West Bank rushed to protected areas in the early hours of Friday morning following a hostile aircraft intrusion warning. The event resolved with no reported injuries or damage.

Sirens also sounded in northern Israel, alerting residents of possible hostile aircraft intrusions on Friday morning, shortly after 6 a.m.
