What is SCImago?
SCImago is a ranking system for academic and research institutions based on a composite indicator that combines research performance, innovation output, and societal impact, measured through an institution’s visibility on the web.
To improve accuracy, the ranking process includes a comprehensive manual review to identify institutions correctly and distinguish between similar names.
SCImago also uses a bibliometric analysis tool to classify research institutions based on the institutional affiliations of articles indexed in the Scopus database.
