Ukraine's air defense forces neutralized 118 of the 135 drones with which Russian forces attacked Ukraine from the evening of June 22.
According to Ukrinform, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Telegram.
Since 18:00 on June 22, Russia launched 135 strike UAVs of the Shahed type, including jet-powered ones, as well as Gerbera and Italmas drones and Parodya-type decoy drones from the directions of Orel, Kursk, Bryansk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, and Millerovo.
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of Ukraine's Defense Forces.
As of 08:00 on June 23, preliminary data showed that air defense shot down or suppressed 118 enemy drones in northern, southern, and eastern Ukraine.
There were 13 confirmed strikes by attack drones at 11 locations, as well as debris from downed drones falling at three locations.
The attack is ongoing, with several enemy UAVs still in Ukrainian airspace, the Air Force warned.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, Russian forces carried out 1,050 strikes on 56 settlements in Zaporizhzhia region over the past day, injuring seven people.
