The Russian troops attacked transport infrastructure in the Zhytomyr region, resulting in the death of a woman.
According to Ukrinform, Vitalii Bunechko, head of the Zhytomyr Regional Military Administration, reported this on Telegram.
“The enemy has launched another insidious drone strike on the civilian transport infrastructure of the Zhytomyr region. Unfortunately, we currently know of one woman who was killed as a result of the attack,” the official said.
According to him, rescue workers, repair crews, and law enforcement agencies are working at the attack site.
In the morning, the Ukrainian Air Force reported the movement of drones toward Korosten in the Zhytomyr region.
In the Korosten district, the air raid alert lasted from 5:46 a.m. to 8:45 a.m.
As reported by Ukrinform, Russian troops carried out approximately 100 strikes on 40 settlements in 19 territorial communities of the Sumy region over the course of 24 hours, from the morning of April 22 to the morning of April 23.
