In the OECD, Israelis toil the second most hours a week but receive very little public investment in their children, according to the Berl Katznelson Center's Family Policy Index. The war has only made it worse

"Family Day is celebrated in Israel mainly in schools and preschools – the families spend it separated," says Yaara Mann, a research director at the Berl Katznelson Center think tank. "Just like any other day, today most parents will only get home in the evening without any real time to spend together as a family."
