Israeli security officials have said that the suspect in a deadly shooting in central Israel is a resident of the Arab city of Tayibe, north of the scene of the attack.

Images of the scene appear to show an abandoned submachine gun.

Israeli forces and the police confirmed that the suspect was "neutralised", while a manhunt is underway for a potential second shooter.
