Israel’s UN ambassador questions France, China, Pakistan envoys on Hormuz

Israel’s ambassador to the United Nations, Danny Danon, said he questioned diplomats during a UN General Assembly session about whether payments had been made to Iran for ships to pass through the Strait of Hormuz.

“How much money did you pay Iran to move ships safely through the Strait of Hormuz?” he said he asked the French ambassador.

Danon said the ambassadors of France, China and Pakistan did not respond to the question.

“Apparently there are questions that neither are in a hurry to answer,” he said.

At the UN General Assembly session on the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, I asked the French ambassador: How much money did you pay Iran to move ships safely through the Strait of Hormuz?


Surprisingly, he had no answer.
