The Kyiv City Military Administration also reported the alert in the capital and urged residents to take shelter.

The warning came amid repeated alerts linked to Russian missile-capable aircraft, including the MiG-31K, which can carry the Kh-47M2 Kinzhal ballistic missile.

At 6:52 a.m., authorities announced that the air raid alert had been lifted in Kyiv. Alerts were later canceled in other regions as well.

Ballistic missile warnings are among the most urgent alerts issued in Ukraine because of the short flight time of such weapons, leaving civilians with little time to reach shelter.
