The Lebanese Health Ministry said on Saturday that 16 people were killed and 34 wounded in Israeli strikes in the past 24 hours, bringing the country's death toll to 3,371 killed and 10,129 wounded since the current round of fighting began on March 2.
Salam’s comments came amid the now-revealed IDF operation of crossing the Litani River, where it successfully secured the Beaufort Ridge and Wadi al-Saluki areas of southern Lebanon.
The conviction came as part of a plea agreement between the parties.
The two residents, Hussein Ghanayem and Abd al-Rahim Hamida, allegedly planned to throw an explosive device at an IDF base.
