Russia’s Interior Ministry has added Andrei Pertsev, a correspondent for the independent Russian outlet Meduza, to its federal wanted list, the independent Russian news outlet Mediazona reported.
The ministry’s database lists Pertsev as wanted on a criminal charge but does not specify which one.
In February 2026, the Moscow prosecutor’s office announced a criminal case against him on charges of participating in an organization designated undesirable by Russian authorities. Prosecutors said Pertsev, while outside Russia, had continued to work for Meduza and “disseminate online informational materials touching on economic, political, and social processes occurring in the Russian Federation.”
In November 2024, a Moscow court fined Pertsev 5,000 rubles after finding him guilty of an administrative offense for participating in the activities of an undesirable organization.
