US-based Mobix Labs has received a “significant production order” for component, which will be used in the US Navy’s Tomahawk cruise missile programme.

The order arrives as the US increases the production tempo of Tomahawk missiles during ongoing military operations in Iran, which began on 28 February 2026.

According to Mobix Labs, this component helps maintain the stability of critical electronics in harsh conditions.

The Tomahawk cruise missile serves as a long-range strike weapon for the US military, launched from surface ships and submarines.

Its operational history includes first use in Operation Desert Storm in 1991 and later engagements in Libya and Syria. Over 2,300 Tomahawks have been deployed since 1991, according to NAVAIR.

Mobix Labs CEO Phil Sansone said: “This order reflects active, ongoing production demand within an operational US Navy weapons platform. We are already integrated into the Tomahawk programme, and as production volumes increase, demand for our proven high-reliability filtering component increases alongside it.”

The order for missile comes amid recent media reports, which indicate that increased demand for Tomahawk missiles has placed pressure on suppliers as US military operations continue to expand in Iran.

Pentagon leaks suggest that if strikes continue for more than 10 days, stocks of critical munitions such as the Tomahawk could become depleted.

According to CENTCOM, Operation Epic Fury has involved more than 20 weapons systems across air, sea, land and missile defence forces.

In a video posted on X, US Central Command (CENTCOM) chief Brad Cooper stated that the US Army has struck nearly 2,000 targets across Iran in just over four days of Operation Epic Fury.

“We’re less than 100 hours into this operation and we’ve already struck nearly 2,000 targets with more than 2,000 munitions,” Cooper said in the five minutes video.

Over 50,000 US troops, 200 fighter aircraft, two aircraft carriers, and several bombers are taking part in the operation.

According to Cooper, Iranian forces have launched more than 500 ballistic missiles and over 2,000 drones.

Recently, CENTCOM confirmed that US forces recently hit the Iranian drone carrier Shahid Bagheri during initial strikes.
