These are unbearably difficult days even at my wonderful, small, municipal Tel Aviv swimming pool. There's the war, which is difficult for everyone, with the air-raid sirens that summon wet swimmers into the adjacent public shelter. And there are other events as a result of the war and in its shadow that are no less tumultuous.
