Russian forces carried out a large-scale drone attack on the Okhtyrka district in Ukraine’s Sumy region, injuring 10 people.
According to Ukrinform, Sumy Regional Military Administration Head Oleh Hryhorov reported this on Telegram.
Strikes were recorded in the town of Okhtyrka and nearby communities. Residential houses and gas stations were damaged in the attack. A 53-year-old woman from the Kyrykivka community sustained severe burns and remains in hospital in critical condition. Nine other people sought medical assistance.
According to officials, Russian forces used a large number of drones during the assault, with some flying at low altitudes, making detection and interception more difficult. The full extent of the damage is still being assessed.
As reported by Ukrinform, Russian forces carried out nearly 80 attacks on the Sumy region between the morning of June 25 and the morning of June 26, injuring two people and damaging residential buildings, vehicles, and civilian infrastructure.
