Details: The affected regions are Sumy, Donetsk, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk and Poltava oblasts.

"Emergency repair work has already begun wherever the security situation allows. Energy workers are doing everything possible to restore electricity to all affected consumers as quickly as possible," Ukrenergo said.

Electricity consumption is continuing to rise. As of 09:30 on 29 June, demand was 7.4% higher than on the previous day.

Ukrenergo has urged consumers to shift electricity-intensive activities to between 10:00 and 16:00 and to limit electricity use from 16:00 to 23:00.

Background:

  • Rolling hourly power cuts are scheduled to be introduced in parts of the country on 30 June.
  • Power outages have also been significantly expanded in Sumy Oblast due to ongoing Russian attacks.
