Members of the Atesh underground resistance movement have said they destroyed an electric locomotive in the Russian city of Bryansk on the night of 7-8 March despite tightened security at the site.

Details: The group said it had previously carried out a sabotage operation at the same depot in November 2025.

Atesh said that after their previous visit the occupying forces had reported that security measures had been strengthened by deploying additional guards, installing new cameras and tightening access controls, but these measures had not prevented the latest sabotage. The group claimed it had successfully destroyed another mainline electric locomotive.

The partisans also claimed that while Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB) reports increased security, their operatives are continuing to enter restricted facilities and destroy equipment that was meant to transport ammunition to the front, adding that there are no longer any safe places for Russian forces.

Quote: "After our previous visit, the occupiers reported that they had 'strengthened security measures'. They brought in more guards, installed new cameras and tightened the access regime. But, as you can see in the video, this did not help them. We have successfully destroyed another mainline electric locomotive.

While the FSB writes reports about 'reinforcement', our people are calmly entering restricted facilities and methodically burning the equipment that was supposed to carry munitions to the front. There are no safe places left for them."

Details: According to Atesh, the Bryansk railway hub remains critically important for supplying the Russian Sever (North) military group. They described the destruction of the locomotive as a strike at the heart of Russian logistics.

Background: Drones attacked the Armavir petroleum pipeline operations dispatch station in Russia's Krasnodar Krai on the night of 7-8 March, causing a large-scale fire at the facility.
