Three people have been killed and 21 injured, including a child, in a combined Russian missile and drone strike on the city of Dnipro on the night of 24-25 April.

Details: Prosecutors reported that two people had been killed and 21 injured, including a nine-year-old boy.

Industrial facilities, high-rise residential buildings, houses and cars were damaged.

A search and rescue operation is ongoing in the city, with people believed to be trapped under rubble.

Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Military Administration said the attack had lasted for over 10 hours. Eleven people have been hospitalised, with one in a critical condition.

Update: Later, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Military Administration reported that the body of a third person had been recovered from under the rubble.

Background: A series of explosions was heard in the city of Dnipro on the night of 24-25 April. Large fires were reported, residential buildings were damaged and at least 18 people were injured. Search and rescue operations are ongoing.
