Ukraine's Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha has said three countries have confirmed that they intend to join the Enlarged Partial Agreement on the Special Tribunal for the Crime of Aggression against Ukraine.

Details: Sybiha said on Tuesday 31 March that Germany, the United Kingdom and Moldova officially declared their intention to join the Agreement on the establishment of the Special Tribunal for the Crime of Aggression against Ukraine.

He noted that, so far, 13 Council of Europe member states and one non-member state intend to join the agreement.

Quote: "We are counting on a significantly wider circle of participants. Sixteen is only the legal minimum. I call on all colleagues to work actively on expanding this list of nations. I hope that additional announcements will follow in the coming days. We are actively working on this."

More details: On the same day, Iryna Mudra, Deputy Head of the Ukrainian President's Office, in a comment to Ukrinform, named the full list of countries that have publicly confirmed their intention to join the Enlarged Partial Agreement on the Special Tribunal. These are: the United Kingdom, Estonia, Spain, Costa Rica, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Moldova, the Netherlands, Germany, Slovenia, Ukraine, Croatia and Sweden.

Background: On 25 March, Sweden confirmed its intention to join the agreement on the Special Tribunal. On 30 March, Latvia followed suit.
