United States President Donald Trump said on Wednesday evening that the US is "on the cusp" of ending the war in Iran, threatening to hit the Iranian regime's electric plants "very hard" if it does not agree to a ceasefire deal, during an address given at the White House to on Operation Epic Fury.

“Tonight, every American can look forward to a day when we are free from the wickedness of Iranian aggression and the specter of nuclear blackmail," he asserted. Trump stated that the US is “on track to complete all of America's military objectives shortly,” vowing to “hit [Iran] extremely hard over the next two to three weeks.”

Trump also clarified what would happen if no diplomatic solution could be reached between the US and Iran.

“If there is no deal, we are going to hit each and every one of their electric generating plants very hard and probably simultaneously,” Trump stated, adding that the US has thus far refrained from hitting Iranian oil infrastructure “because it would not give them a small chance of survival or rebuilding.”

Trump continued the address by reaffirming the US military's success so far in decimating Iran's naval forces and ballistic missile capabilities.

“We are in this military operation so powerful, so brilliant, against one of the most powerful countries for 32 days, and the country has been eviscerated and essentially, is really no longer a threat,” he asserted.

“Our objectives are very simple and clear,” Trump said of Operation Epic Fury. “We are systematically dismantling the regime’s ability to threaten America or project power outside of its borders.”

Trump vows to send Iran back to Stone Age

“We are going to bring them back to the Stone Age where they belong,” he threatened, claiming that “in the meantime, discussions are ongoing” and that Iran’s new leadership “is less radical and much more reasonable.”

Trump stated that his preference for dealing with the Iranian regime was through diplomacy, but that the regime “continued their relentless quest for nuclear weapons and rejected every attempt at an agreement.”

“For years, everyone said that Iran could not have nuclear weapons, but in the end, those are just words if you're not willing to take action when the time comes,” he stated.

He then reaffirmed that he will never allow the Iranian regime to obtain a nuclear weapon, continuing that “there would have been no Middle East and no Israel” had the US not taken action against the regime’s nuclear ambitions.

While Trump did not give a timeframe for when he expected the war to end, he assured that the US would continue Operation Epic Fury until all of its objectives are fully achieved.
