A total of 147 combat engagements were recorded between Ukrainian forces and Russian invaders on May 9, with the enemy showing the highest activity on the Pokrovsk, Huliaipole, and Kostiantynivka axes.
The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported this on Facebook in its operational update as of 08:00 on Sunday, May 10.
Yesterday, the enemy used 7,704 kamikaze drones and carried out 2,021 strikes on Ukrainian settlements and military positions, including 12 from multiple launch rocket systems.
Over the past day, Ukrainian missile and artillery forces struck six enemy artillery systems.
On the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk axes, the aggressor carried out 30 strikes on Ukrainian positions and settlements, including one using an MLRS. Two assault actions were recorded.
On the Southern Slobozhanshchyna axis, the enemy attacked Ukrainian positions nine times in the areas of Prylipky, Izbytske, Starytsia, Ternova, Petro-Ivanivka, Synelnykove, and Novovasylivka.
On the Kupiansk axis, the enemy launched one attack toward Kupiansk.
On the Lyman axis, the enemy made five attempts to break through Ukrainian defenses, attacking near Lyman, Zarichne, Yampil, and Ozerne.
On the Sloviansk axis, the enemy conducted two assault actions near Riznykivka and toward Rai-Oleksandrivka.
On the Kramatorsk axis, the enemy once attempted to improve its position toward Tykhonivka.
On the Kostiantynivka axis, the enemy carried out 11 attacks in the areas of Illinivka, Pleshchiivka, Rusyn Yar, and toward Kostiantynivka.
On the Pokrovsk axis, Ukrainian defenders stopped 28 assault actions by the aggressor toward Bilitske, Nykanorivka, Dorozhnie, Novooleksandrivka, Rodynske, Vasylivka, Udachne, Molodetske, Novomykolaivka, Novopidhorodnie, Kotlyne, Hryshyne, and Serhiivka.
On the Oleksandrivka axis, the enemy launched five attacks toward Oleksandrohrad, Sichneve, Vorone, and Sosnivka.
On the Huliaipole axis, the invaders carried out 27 attacks in the areas of Nove Zaporizhzhia, Rybne, Tsvitkove, Zaliznychne, Sviatopetrivka, Charivne, Zlahoda, Olenokostiantynivka, and toward Hirke, Huliaipilske, Verkhnia Tersa, Vozdvyzhivka, and Staroukrainka.
No enemy assault actions were recorded on the Orikhiv axis.
No offensive actions were conducted by the enemy on the Dnipro River axis.
On the Volyn and Polissia axes, no signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups were detected.
