Over the past 24 hours, on May 6, 157 combat clashes between the Ukrainian Defense Forces and Russian invaders were recorded on the front lines.
According to Ukrinform, this is stated in a Facebook post by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine regarding the situation as of 8:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 7.
The enemy launched one missile strike using two missiles and carried out 78 airstrikes, dropping 256 guided bombs.
In addition, the Russians deployed 9,317 kamikaze drones and carried out 2,696 shelling attacks, including 67 from multiple launch rocket systems.
The Russian Federation’s army carried out airstrikes in the areas of Tovstodubove and Holubivka in the Sumy region.
The Air Force, Rocket Forces, and Artillery of the Defense Forces struck nine areas of troop concentration, an artillery system, and another key Russian target.
In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors, the enemy carried out six airstrikes using 17 guided bombs and conducted 69 shelling attacks, including eight from MLRS. Two Russian assault operations were reported.
In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, the Russians attacked 17 times in the areas of Vovchansk and Starytsia and toward Lyptsi, Lyman, Izbytske, Mala Vovcha, Symynivka, Zelene, and Vilcha.
In the Kupiansk sector, the enemy attacked 10 times toward Kurylivka, Pishchane, Novoplatonivka, and in the areas of Borivska Andriivka, Radkivka, and Petropavlivka.
In the Lyman sector, the invaders attempted to breach the defenses 17 times, launching attacks near Nadiia, Stavky, and Yampil, as well as toward Lyman, Novoserhiivka, Ozerne, and Tverdokhibove.
In the Sloviansk sector, the Russian army did not conduct any assault operations.
No Russian attacks were recorded in the Kramatorsk sector.
In the Kostiantynivka sector, the enemy carried out 17 attacks in the areas of Ivanopillia, Illinivka, Pleshchiivka, and Stepanivka, as well as toward Kostiantynivka, Novopavlivka, Toretske, and Sofiivka.
In the Pokrovsk sector, the Defense Forces repelled 29 Russian assaults toward Nykanorivka, Rodynske, Novooleksandrivka, Shevchenko, Pokrovsk, Hryshyne, Serhiivka, Molodetske, and Novyi Donbas.
In the Oleksandrivka sector, the enemy attacked twice toward Verbove and Novohryhorivka.
In the Huliaipole sector, the invaders carried out 21 attacks in the areas of Zlahoda, Dobropillia, Staroukrainka, Zelene, Rybne, and toward Hirke, Huliaipole, and Pryluky.
In the Orikhiv sector, the Defense Forces repelled two attempts by Russian troops to advance in the Shcherbaky area.
In the Prydniprovske sector, the enemy carried out two attacks—toward Antonivka and Bilohrudyi Island.
In the Volyn and Polissia sectors, no signs of the formation of Russian offensive groups were detected.
As reported by Ukrinform, the total combat losses of Russian troops from February 24, 2022, to May 7, 2026, in the war against Ukraine amount to approximately 1,338,060 personnel.
