Yemen's Houthis claimed responsibility for a missile attack on Israel, their first since the broader Middle East conflict began, according to a statement aired on the group’s Al-Masirah television.
Houthi military spokesperson, Yahya Saree, said the attack involved ballistic missiles targeting what he described as “sensitive Israeli military sites” in southern Israel and warned that operations would continue until their objectives were met.
The claim followed a statement a day earlier signalling the group’s intent to join the conflict, marking a further regional escalation.
"Attacks will continue until the declared objectives are achieved, as stated in the previous statement by the Armed Forces, and until the aggression against all fronts of the resistance ceases," Saree said.
