Zelensky: Ten people remain missing for after massive attack on Kyiv, search operation continues

President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Russian forces have struck Kryvyi Rih, Kharkiv region, Kherson, and Sumy region in recent days, while search and rescue operations continue in Kyiv following the massive attack. Ten people remain unaccounted for, and 30 deaths have been confirmed.

The president stated this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

"Emergency and rescue operations are still ongoing in Kyiv at three sites of last night’s Russian strikes. First responders have already managed to clear a significant part of the rubble, but 10 people are still missing. The search operation will continue for as long as needed. As of now, it is known that 30 people were killed in yesterday’s attack on Kyiv. My condolences to all their families and loved ones. Nearly one hundred people were wounded, including children," Zelensky said.

Overnight, a private house in the Kharkiv region came under attack, leaving six people injured, including three children.

Yesterday afternoon, Russian forces launched missile strikes on the regional hospital in Kherson.

"They knew exactly what they were targeting and that there was no military purpose in it. Sadly, a doctor was killed, and a nurse was also wounded. Overnight in the Sumy region, a drone strike on an apartment building killed four people, including a mother and her daughter. My condolences to their families and loved ones," Zelensky said.

The president stressed that Russia attacks ordinary civilian infrastructure every day and every night, and that terror is the only argument it has left to continue the war.

"Reliable protection of Ukraine’s skies is needed as a prerequisite for diplomacy. We count on the support of our partners, above all with anti-ballistic capabilities," he said.

As Ukrinform reported, as of the morning of July 3, 56 people, including four children, remained hospitalized following Russia's massive attack on Kyiv on July 2. Thirty people were killed.
