Israeli parliamentary politics is stuck in a seemingly interminable loop. Even the tremendous upheavals of the last several years – the Netanyahu government's judicial overhaul and the movement that rose up to oppose it; the Hamas attacks of October 7 and the subsequent war in Gaza; the ongoing war in Lebanon and two rounds of fighting in Iran – have hardly altered the political terrain.
