Israeli strikes killed four people in southern Lebanon Tuesday, Lebanese media reported, as Hezbollah rocket fire continued despite U.S. President Donald Trump's overnight announcement that hostilities between the sides would cease.
The developments come after U.S. President Donald Trump said on Monday that Hezbollah had pledged through intermediaries not to attack Israel and that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu agreed to pull back forces preparing for a possible strike in southern Lebanon.
The Israeli military said it intercepted two of three projectiles launched from Lebanon earlier Tuesday.
According to the Lebanese National News Agency, the IDF struck the village of Shehour, adjacent to the Litani River, and fired artillery nearby.
