The Israeli military said it carried out air strikes on military sites in Tehran on Friday, targeting what it described as key defence and weapons facilities.
In a statement, it said the air force struck “regime aerial defence sites, including an IRGC aerial defence site where missiles intended to target aircraft were stored.”
It also claimed attacks on a “military site responsible for safeguarding the regime’s weapons research and development facilities” and a location where ballistic missiles were stored.
Israel said weapons production and research sites were hit, but did not provide further details or evidence to support the claims.
