Russian forces attacked Kharkiv with a missile early on Friday morning, March 27. The missile hit an apartment building, leaving several people injured.
“A missile strike in the Kyiv district has been recorded; there are injuries. We are clarifying the details,” Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov said in a Telegram post at 00:42 a.m.

Shortly afterward, Terekhov added that the missile struck an apartment building.
The mayor also reported that, in addition to the missile attack, a drone strike was recorded in the same Kyiv district.
Ukraine’s State Emergency Service (DSNS) later said that eight people were injured as a result of the strike. However, rescuers specifically referred to a drone impact in their statement, with no mention of the missile.
“Russia attacked Kharkiv again at night. One of the strikes hit a nine-story residential building. As a result, internal structures and the balcony of a top-floor apartment were partially destroyed,” the DSNS wrote.
