Russian forces launched a mass drone attack on Sumy overnight, hitting a medical facility, damaging residential buildings and setting cars on fire, according to local officials. Four people were injured, including a teenager.
“As a result of the overnight enemy attack on Sumy, four people were preliminarily reported injured, including a 17-year-old child,” Serhii Kryvosheienko, head of the Sumy City Military Administration said. “The child and two men were hospitalized. Another person was treated on site.”

Sumy Mayor Artem Kobzar said a series of explosions was heard across the city and that more than five strikes were recorded in a residential area of the Zarichnyi district.
“The enemy continues to attack our city,” Kobzar said on social media. “In one of the residential areas of the Zarichnyi district, more than five strikes were recorded. Windows in residential buildings were blown out, and cars are on fire.”
Kobzar also said one of the strikes hit the roof of a healthcare facility.
The full extent of the damage was still being assessed early Monday.
