Leningrad Region shot down 243 Ukrainian drones in the first three months of 2026, Governor Alexander Drozdenko told the regional legislative assembly.
“We have the longest border with the countries of the unfriendly NATO bloc. Our region has become not just a border region, but a frontline one,” Drozdenko said.
The attacks targeted economic infrastructure and port facilities, he said, and were also intended to “sow panic and create social tension.”
