Three combined barrages from Iran and Lebanon were fired toward Israel overnight Wednesday, triggering sirens across much of the country from the north to Eilat. Two buildings were damaged in the Galilee and the Sharon region, and two people were lightly wounded in the Galilee.
The IDF said some missiles were intercepted while others fell in open areas. Since Wednesday, about 200 launches from Lebanon toward Israel have been detected.
The military also said it struck targets in Tehran and Hezbollah command centers in Beirut's southern suburbs overnight.
Lebanon's health ministry said eight people were killed in an Israeli strike in Beirut's Rimal al-Baida neighborhood near the coast. Lebanese media reported the strike targeted a motorcycle near tents housing displaced people who had recently fled southern Lebanon.
The Lebanese army is evacuating the area due to unexploded ordnance, according to the Qatari-owned network Al-Araby Al-Jadeed.
A mosque was set on fire in the West Bank village of Duma, and graffiti was sprayed on its walls, police said. Officers and security forces were sent to the village after footage of the incident surfaced.
No injuries were reported, and an investigation has been opened, police said. Security officials condemned the attack on the religious site.
Around 27 members of Iraq's pro-Iranian Hashd Shaabi militia were killed and 63 were wounded in airstrikes targeting a brigade in Anbar province near the Syrian border, local media reported. A group affiliated with the militia said its forces were hit in a U.S.-Israeli strike.
Separately, Erbil, in Iraqi Kurdistan, faced at least 17 explosive drone attacks over the past 24 hours, most intercepted by coalition air defenses, the provincial governor said.
A fire broke out Thursday at a playground in Sacher Park in Jerusalem. Firefighting crews quickly brought the blaze under control, and no injuries were reported, authorities said.
Police said they suspect the fire was set deliberately but believe it was not motivated by nationalist reasons.
